Scott Ostrander (b. 1987) is a composer specializing in creating compelling music for concert bands, small ensembles and soloists. Drawing inspiration from a blend of classical traditions and contemporary influences, he brings a unique voice to every composition, enriching the musical landscape with beautiful and emotive pieces.
In June of 2024, his work Symphonic Celebration for concert band was premiered at Concordia University Chicago in honor of Dr. Richard Fischer. This performance was conducted by Jack Stamp and part of Fischer’s 50th Anniversary Band Reunion.
His current catalog includes works for brass quintet, string ensembles, piano, and concert band. He also published a collection of 8 hymns for use in Christian worship entitled Hymns: Series One.
